Owner's words on the ticket: "theres too many technical words even i
dont understand." On a page whose whole job is to help somebody choose a
messenger, a heading you have to look up first has asked the reader to do
our work.
Every row heading and every piece of small print is now plain. The
substantive ones:
Post-quantum key agreement
→ Safe from the computers that are coming — when a conversation starts
Post-quantum in the ongoing ratchet
→ — and every message after that
Keys verified automatically, not just by hand
→ Your app checks your contact is really them
Your identity survives your server
→ You keep your name if you move servers
Encrypted end to end by default
→ Nobody in between can read it
PQXDH, PQ3, the Sparse Post-Quantum Ratchet, AGPL, RCS, "federating",
"metadata" and "the protocol engine they share" are all out of the table.
They are not deleted. The ticket says protocol names belong in a
sources list at the foot, and there was no such list, so there is one
now: "The real names, if you want to go and check". A reader verifying a
row needs the actual term to search for, and dropping them entirely would
have been its own kind of unhelpful.
Accuracy is not what was traded. The row corrected in !54 — Signal
scoring Yes on the post-quantum ratchet, which they shipped in October
2025 — reads exactly the same after this: Flamenet part, Signal yes,
Telegram no, Apple yes. Checked cell by cell rather than assumed, because
a rewrite of every heading on a page is exactly where a true row quietly
becomes a false one.
