The emoji sweep covered markdown and source but not stylesheets, so fifteen markers survived in landing.css, which every visitor downloads.

The arrows left in spec.leaf and audit.leaf stay: they are typographic symbols carrying meaning in technical prose, not decoration. So does the one in the spec's reaction example, which is a wire-format sample the interop tests use as a vector.

Tests: 697, 0 failures.
